Juliet Hutchings buries her face into four furry bellies at least 20 times a day with her brood of 2 Rwandan street dogs and 2 Rwandan cats. Juliet and her husband, Mark, love all animals and practice living a plant-based lifestyle in every way they can. When Juliet encounters something that isn’t plant-based and could be, she takes action. From tabling about delicious recipes and amazing vegan-thinkers at her UU congregation in Frederick, MD, to joining protests at the NIH against unethical animal testing in medicine, Juliet knows that the battle for the rights of all Earthlings is long and tough, but worth every second. Like E.O. Wilson says “Every Species is a Masterpiece.” Juliet is thrilled and chuffed to be a member of the UUAM Board and so excited to be able to learn more about how she can help all animals have safer, joy-filled lives.
